Table Saw
This is a Red Level tool and requires specific training to use.
Training Checklist
- Demonstrate proper blade height
- Demonstrate proper body position
- Demonstrate proper dust collection
- Demonstrate how to turn on and off the machine and check that the saw stop function is enabled
- Demonstrate rip cut with push sticks
- Demonstrate cross cut with miter gauge
Tool Restrictions
- Any unauthorized attempt to disable the saw stop functionality will result in disciplinary action
- Any use of the table saw which results in the SawStop triggering will result in a $100 fee assessed the member. The table saw will be placed out of order until the cartridge and blade can be replaced.
- Thinnest rip cut is 1/4 inch between the blade and fence
- Push sticks are required between the miter slots
- Miter gauge is required for cross cuts
- Banned Materials (these are all known to trigger the SawStop)
- Wet wood
- Reclaimed wood
- Pressure treated wood
- Laser etched wood
- Non wood materials
- No staples in the wood
- If you are unsure, ask before you attempt

- Unplugged
- Blade down
- Dust collection off and gate closed
