Mill Tooling

Tool Holding

  • Spindle taper is Morse Taper 2 (MT2).
  • 2 Drawbars, 3/8-16 Imperial, and M10x1.5 Metric
  • Collets: 1/8“, ?, ?, ? (collets use 3/8-16 imperial drawbar(need to check sizes)
  • Tap Follower
    • 1/2” Shank, can be used in drill chuck or 1/2“ collet
    • Tip can be swapped end-for-end, point or cup
    • Set Screw in back end for tension adjustment/tip swapping

Cutting Tools

  • End Mills (in stock)
    • High Speed Steel (HSS)
    • 4 Flute
    • Center-cutting
  • Fly Cutter
    • 1/2” shank (use 1/2“ mt2 collet)
    • Adjustable diameter: 2.5”-4“ (63mm-100mm)
    • Carbide insert (DCMT070204 for steel, DCGT070204 for aluminum & plastic)
  • Boring Head
    • 1/2” shank (use 1/2“ MT2 collet)
    • Adjustment screw dial is 0.002” diameter per division
    • Uses 1/2“ shank boring bars
  • Drill Chuck
    • MT2 shank (Use 3/8-16 imperial drawbar)

Work Holding

  • Mill Vise
    • 6” jaw width
    • 5.9“ max opening
    • Vise stop mounted to back of fixed jaw (Stop rod assembly stored in toolbox)
  • Parallels
    • 6” wide, 1/8“ thick
    • Height range 1/2” to 1 5/8“, in 1/8” increments
  • Machinist Jacks
    • Can be used with T-nuts, to secure to mill table
    • Adjustment screws can be locked
    • Interchangeable Heads Coming soon

Mill-Specific Indicating

  • Indicol-style holder
    • Uses a DTI
    • Clamps to the spindle nose
      • Can be used with tools installed.
  • Edge finder
    • Can be used in a drill chuck, or a 3/8“ collet
    • Tip diameter is 0.200”
      • Remember to add 0.100“ to your measurement, to account for the radius of the edge finder.

Hand Tools

  • Homunculus Wrench
    • 3/4” box-end, 12-point
      • Tighten/loosen mill vise
      • Tighten/loosen Motor clamp nuts, for changing belt speeds
    • 1 1/4“ open-end
      • Hex on top of spindle pulley, to prevent rotation while loosening/tightening drawbar
      • Tighten machinist jacks to mill table (when used with T-nuts)
  • Socket Hammer
    • 3/4” Socket side
      • Tighten/Loosen drawbar
    • Brass Hammer side
      • Tap drawbar to release tooling.
  • 3/16“ Hex Key
    • Adjusting Boring Head
    • Tighten/loosen boring bar clamp screws in Boring Head
    • Adjusting Vise Stop
    • Tighten/Loosen clamp bolts on Machinist Jacks
    • Tap Follower tension adjustment/tip swapping
  • 3/32” Hex Key
    • Tighten/loosen clamp screws in Fly Cutter
    • Adjust/lock Boring Head gib
  • Machinist Hammer
    • Soft Faces
      • Brass
      • Delrin
    • For seating workpiece against parallels in vise
    • Also for general adjustment tappy-tap-tapping
