Atomstack A10 V2 Pro Diode Laser Safety Guide

  • Always keep enclosure zipped when laser diode is running
    • If enclosure must be open and diode is on, wear provided glasses (this should not happen frequently/at all)
  • Ensure blower is ALWAYS on before running any jobs
  • In case of fire
    • Enclosure is fire-resistant
    • Disable unit via emergency stop button
    • LEAVE BLOWER TURNED ON, this will likely suffocate the fire immediately
    • If still burning: Open enclosure a small amount and spray fire extinguisher inside

Setup

  • Turn on blower (switch on column behind reflow oven, labeled)
  • Ensure emergency stop is not depressed
  • Turn on laser unit (switch/button on front of laser inside enclosure
  • Turn on air assist pump to left of laser enclosure
  • Connect to laser via lightburn on desktop PC
  • Set focal length (adjust height of diode unit, leave the shield ON the head)

Teardown

  • Turn off air assist pump
  • Turn off laser unit
  • Turn off blower, UNLESS somebody is using the large laser cutter (switch turns on blower AND power to large laser cutter)
  • Ensure laser is connected to desktop computer when done (if you used your personal laptop)
