======Lathe DRO======

The mini-lathe is currently equipped with a Digital Readout scale on the longitudinal (Z) axis. This makes it significantly easier to turn to a precise length, such as to a shoulder. An X-Axis readout is in the works (which will facilitate turning to precise diameters), as well as a readout for the tailstock quill (for drilling to precise depths).

The scale is connected to an adapter board which connects to a phone or tablet via Bluetooth, and uses an app called TouchDRO as the readout display. The app is only available for Android devices, and is available for free via the Google Play Store or Amazon App Store.

====To connect your device to the adapter:====
  - Unplug the adapter power supply.
  - Open the Bluetooth settings on your device.
  - Plug in the adapter, and look for "HC-05" to appear on the "Available Devices" list on your device.
  - Pair with the adapter (code is 1234, I have the same code on my luggage).
  - Open the TouchDRO app on your device. A "Select a TouchDRO Adapter" dialog should pop up. If it doesn't, tap the Bluetooth icon at the top of the screen. 
  - Select "HC-05".
  - You're connected!

The app will likely give you a warning about scales not being calibrated. Hit "Got It!" , as that's part of the next few steps.

  - Open the hamburger menu at the top left of the screen.
  - Tap "Settings"
  - Tap "Machine Type", and select "Lathe"
  - Tap "User Interface Settings", then "Readout Display Format"
  - Tap the first option, "00.000 in./000.00 mm"
  - Tap the back button to return to the main menu.
  - Scroll down, and tap "Z Axis Settings" If it's not enabled, enable it.
  - Scroll down to "Primary Input", and tap "Resolution"
  - In the "Set Z Axis CPI" dialog, enter 2560.0, and tap OK.
  - Tap the back button twice to return to the readout display.
  - Test things by moving the lathe carriage back and forth; The numbers on the display should change accordingly.
  - You're done!

This will get you up and running with the DRO. If you'd like to reduce clutter a bit, you can disable the X-Axis readout for now (it's in the works). 
  - Open the hamburger menu
  - Tap "Settings"
  - Scroll down, and tap "X Axis Settings"
  - Disable the X axis
  - Tap the back button twice.
